I'm definitely not ready for the holidays yet. The house is still under construction and we technically aren't supposed to be living upstairs because we don't have the CO yet. Don't know where the tree is going since they are still painting rooms. I'll figure it out.

We have the tree up and decorated except for the topper. I need to find a new one this year. Hardly any shopping is done and the yard isn't decorated yet. Hopefully we'll get around to it!

well I'm getting there with the decorations. got the tree up last night and will finish it today. the lights are hung outside along with santa and frosty and a couple of trees.

and no matter how i try the lights on the roof don't match! some are blue and some a greenish blue but i'm not going back up!

Hey everyone! Hope all is well. It is really raining here today....but it matches my overall mood so i guess it is good...dreary and grey. Can you believe that we are 15 days away from Christmas......holy moly!!

Beth, not really a rebel -- just half of one. Nobody is sleeping upstairs, but we are using the playroom and office and Meaghan plays in her room. I guess that would technically be called living up there, but the inspector doesn't need to know that. LOL

Super ready for the holidays because that means I'll be in FL and not in the cold. Otherwise, nope not ready at all. Still have a present or two to get. Need to get motivated on my Christmas cards. We're not decorating so that kinda keeps me thinking that the holidays are further away than they really are. But if it's onl y 15 days to Christmas, then that means only 21 days until NYE. I'm excited about that!

I keep forgetting we're starting the new GG at 200 instead of 500. Comes around so soon now.

Havent done anything yet for Christmas except to bake my 1st batch of cookies to give to my team. Need to do a bunch more baking this weekend! I think the only people who are getting presents from me this year will be the nieces and nephew.

Feeling better today. Turns out I wasnt the only one out yesterday. Most of the folks who went to the same training I was at on Sunday all have been sick! They are blaming one of the Regional Directors, lol! Im still not sure what I went thru was the same thing they all have. My boss was surprised to see me back at the office today.

While I was gone yesterday they planned a potluck for today. I'm hoping I dont regret the yummy enchiladas, rice, & beans that we had. I'm playing it safe with mac n cheese for dinner tonight.

Time to go feed the doggies. I need to jump in the shower tonight too. I have an interview with a school district tomorrow morning and will hafta leave home at 6:30am to get there on time.

Hi everyone!

Christmas is 15 DAYS AWAY?!?!?!?! Ummm...no tree up....no cards mailed...no gifts bought...AAARRRGGGGH.

Oh well, our last day at work is the 19th...so anything I need to do (besides the tree - that needs to happen this weekend) can be done after then. I think I've decided to leave the rough drafts off this nine weeks's grades in an effort to help the dear kids grades...I'll just put it in with the final at the start of the next nine. I feel a bit funky about that, but I think I've done it before. The pre-writing stuff will be on there this time (By that I mean topic, thesis, notecards)...but if I do it this way I'll have a better idea where they are grade wise Friday even though I don't have to release knowledge of exemptions until Monday. I hope most of the kids will get to be exempt...I think they might be...I hope. I just fear I'll have more bad grades than I want. I'm not used to having many failing, but this year they just don't seem to care.

BTW Cheza, you're in good company! I think most of us are in the same spot. FYI my parents were both teachers when I was a kid and we always got our tree and did Christmas shopping once we started winter break.

Made reseverations for NYE!! SO excited!!! First thing in a long time that has made me happy!!
Looks as if CITI survives so will my job, had meeting with district manager today...maybe things are looking up!!

Nickki said say Hi she has been busy, basketball, piano, and friends. Seems she is growing up so fast, has new little boyfriend. Glad I like him. Dad is a little worried.

Shane is being recruited by several colleges for cross county. Not sure I can let him go that far away.
Senior year...man I am dreading him graduating.

my mom leaves this morning to ohio for two weeks. she's getting eye surgery.
the only thing that stinks is that she gets back on the 22nd, but i leave for my dad's on the 21st so i won't see her again until i get back from my dad's.

I'm very behind this year too. Haven't done much Christmas shopping yet -- just a little online, no cards yet, to tree, no decorations. HELP! I think I'll take a picture of Meaghan in her velvet dress this Friday night at her Christmas concert. Then whip it off to Shutterfly. It will still take about a week, so i wasn't kidding when I said those cards might not get out until New Years.

Girls are way harder....lol...Nick keeps me on my toes!! She has been testing "words" she thinks
she is old enough to use Yeah, not fun.

I cant wait for NYE!! I have not seen the boys since the Cruise in KY. I needed a fix. :aoswoon

I've got a ton of stuff to do...and had yet another parent want to talk about her child's performance today...with finals next week! AARRRRGGGH! It's okay. She wasn't hateful or anything. She did come to inquire about virtual. Three-fourths of my darlings seem to think they are going. Well, they are wrong because there are only four slots open and seniors have priority and I know two or three slots will be taken by them. *sigh*

Is it Christmas vacation yet (T-6 working days and counting)? I so wish I was doing NYE, but it's just not going to work out for me this time - the finances just aren't there, *le sigh* but know I will be there with you all in spirit. Hopefully we can get a summer show next year!?!?!?! Good weather for traveling would be awesome.

At what age do girls stop playing with dolls these days?

where does the time go? I got lost in bill paying land, need dinner!

Not sure about the dolls, like baby dolls or barbie type dolls? I played with Barbie dolls till I was like 13 or so, though I never had the heart to get rid of them, my parents had to do that long after I moved out!

Meaghan is 8 and loves playing with dolls. She loves barbies, ,but really loves her American girl dolls. Meredith, I'm all for a GG spa vacation. Sounds like a perfect getaway.

Hey, guess what I'm doing tomorrow? I'm going to Mohegan Sun with meaghan. We are staying over night with my mom at the hotel. My mom is letting me pick out my b-day present at chicos (so she can pay with her points!) Meaghan is going to do Kids Quest. Jim is going to his cousin Rich's to make the annual GLUG! It is so yummy, I can't wait.

Its raining so much here, I think my house will float away. We don't have gutters yet and water is pooling everywhere. Hope we don't get water in the basement. We have a sump pump and its going like crazy.

I had sloppy joes. mmmmmmmmmmmmm I had pizza for lunch!! Super greasy Pepperoni, I am still burping it up.

I had a Coke for lunch (chugged it after dealing with parent e-mails through lunch) and I'm having chips for supper. Too lazy to do anything else. Oh, and I did have a few Cheez-its earlier. Maybe I'll get something good to eat tomorrow.

Am I gonna hafta get on your case about taking care of yourself too??
