I have been thinking that it might be nice to have a get together on Friday night May 18th, so that all HH'S can meet up and just have a get together.  I have look into a room at the Hyatt to reserve.  I have pm'd taxegirl and hammeredham about this.  I tought that I would start a post to see what everyone thinks.  The only problem is the cost of the room to rent is about $500.00.  This does not include a cash bar but I think we can work around that.  I am willing to put some money towards this cost but due to hotel room cost , driving etc.  Just like everyone else I cannot afford all the cost of the room (I wish).  If anyone would like to help make this happen just pm me.  If you cannot afford to help you will NOT be left out.  If this doesn't work out then, maybe we will fiqure out something else out.

I just talked with hotel.  They will get the price of the room down to $300.00 for the night.  But the catch is that there can be no outside drinks brought in.  The cash bar runs $100.00 for the frist two hours and 10.00 to 20.00 every hour after that I think that I can get that price down to a firm $10.00.  So if we start at say 8:00pm on Friday it would be about 500.00 but there would be a cash bar.  There is also a bar that we could hang out in the hotel, this will hold anywhere from 50 to a 100 people.  Please someone give me some idea.  This way the hotel has an idea so they won't be surprised if we just decide to go with the hotel bar.

I think you do need an exact head count to figure out what would be more practical. If there is enough people for a turn out, then I am sure that everyone paying a little 'door fee' (sounds like a keg party...lol), then the room can happen. If you can at least get 50 ($300.00 room , plus $100.00 cash bar) people at the gathering, then it could be as little as $8.00 per person...that would be great!

I know that alot of people are on budget...so the other idea is a great back up.

Hopefully, more people will start to post and you will get a feel for what is best for you.

I think this is a great idea. Brings back fond memeories of my friends putting together 'flyer parties'...I was never cool enough to go, but they always sounded like so much fun. Everyone pays a small fee to help with the cost, and everyone get's to have fun...~sigh~

Just thinking about this a bit more. If HH want's to have a 'jam session' maybe getting the hotel room would be better location for this. That way we don't have to worry so much about anyone telling us to leave, if they get tired of listening to us have a great hammerhead time.

This sounds like a great idea.  I was thinking that it would fun for people to get together Friday but not knowing when everyone was arriving it would be difficult to meet up at a restaurant/bar.  I was thinking the Hard Rock but that would be a good place for pre-show drinks on Saturday possibly.

Anyways, I'm pretty much up for anything and I'm more than willing to help out so count me in!

I'm in for pre-show saturday stuff too!!!!  We are leaving late friday and won't be there until sometime saturday...but it will be early enough to joing the festivities with all of you!!!

ok her's what I have done so far.  I have went ahead and got the meeting room.  I will be geting into town around noonish.  we were going to leave here early fri morning but sometimes i am blond ( no offense to the blonds out there)  so we are leaving thurs. nite and like i said be there noonish.  So for all that have offered to help I will take you up on it.  pm me and I will give ya my #.  this way we can fiqure out what is what.
