Finally talked hubby into Hammerjam and all the nearby hotels (that aren't major $$) are taken! I guess that means a lot of hammerheads are going  8)  I finally found the ChinaTown Hotel which is close & cheap..bad part is that it seems scary.  They lock the front door at midnight and you have to ring the bell for someone to let you in.  I'm from a small midwestern town so this is freaking me out.  Good news is that the el is right there and we can take it to the Metro and back.  More bad news is that if someone is chasing us we won't be able to get in :shock: and I doubt we'll be back b/f midnight  :D Anyone from Chicago heard of this place? Or are any other hammerheads staying here?? There's safety in numbers, right??

While I've not heard of this particular hotel, I wouldn't worry about the fact they lock the door.  In fact, that is probably a good thing.  I think it's pretty standard in major cities these days.  Most hotels seem to require a room key to get inside in the late hours.  It was that way at my hotel in Memphis, Milwaukee, and Louisville, to name a few.

I know I have never felt unsafe walking around Chicago, so I'm sure you'll be fine.  I'm happy you are coming to the show!

Actually I am looking at staying at this Hotel... It is the closet one available at a decent price. Although they give it 1 star rating (class) the reviews from customers were pretty good.

Course I stayed at the Pines in MI, so anything has to better then that - lol .. J/K ..

I actually e-mailed this question to Metro the other day because I can't remember exactly what time they will kick us out.  I think it's around 2am, but possibly later.

I'll post here when I know for sure.

If we get kicked out of there, we can all go to Mother Hubbard's.  I think they are open till 4:00 a.m. or something like that.
