My flyer to have bands play cover songs of the Lovehammers has worked. I just asked my cousin who is the events organizer of the place I'm working at right now knows people who wanna do Lovehammer songs. I will be in charge of the video production so that you guys can see and hear them. I might even SING, LOL, with the bands. If I get up the nerve....that is. Isn't this so awesome? What songs do you want done? I'm thinking...of course, TREES, HOLD ON, CLOUDS, THE RIDDLE, STRAIGHT AS AN ARROW...OKAY...THE WHOLE ALBUM!!!! I'll probably sing back-up or duet and maybe do some percussion like the tambourine, or just the drumset (if I still remember). I can't wait. It's still in the works so please be patient. We're gonna have our own ROCKSTAR LOVEHAMMERS SHOW in Cebu, Philippines!

A local Filipino sessionist singer/guitar player answered my ad to play covers of LH at my aunt's music cafe--Kahayag.  He's an old guy with a lot of passion for music.  He was a little shy to do it but felt that he was being "called" to do so when he saw my ad.

I've always loved to sing myself but never had the guts and now I'm going to be singing acoustic with this guy.  My family thinks I have a nice voice but that remains to be heard.

I'm really nervous in performing but I love music and love Lovehammer songs so I'll brave it.

We plan on performing Trees, The Riddle, and Clouds.  God...I hope we do justice.

I'm kinda freaking out now....what have I gotten myself into.  This guy is really relying on me to pull all of this together.

When I let him hear snippets of the three songs above, he said that the melody was great.  He just felt he really had to answer my ad and dare to jump into the unknown.

I just hope that we do a good job.  I'm so nervous.......I've never done anything like this before.  I'm even more comfortable yacking on the radio.

Family and friends of mine have a number of connections with the music industry here.  First of all, I have two cousins who belong to popular bands here.  One is a rock band called The Zarah Smith Band (starring my cousin) and the other is a reggae band where my cousin Gina plays keyboards called Junior Kilat.  By the way, The Zarah Smith Band won the best band by MTV Awards Cebu 2005.

My cousin Gina's boyfriend is a concert organizer and when I pitched the idea to bring LH in, he was interested and we will meet someday soon.  He's always wanted to bring in a foreign band.  He's got a lot of connections in the rock industry here.  I can't promise that I will be able to bring the boys here right away.  I hope to have Mig Ayesa as their opening act since he's Filipino and friends with Marty as well as bring in local bands to open for LH.  These things seem to be falling on my lap--again.  "Simply Sweet" I can't promise I can bring LH but I'll try my best.

I'm even being asked to organize a Filipino Rock Festival and bring local Filipino Rock bands to the US cuz they kick ass!  I don't know if I can do all of this.  It's very overwhelming.

Not sure if this is in the right thread, but I had to post this.  I think you'll get a kick out of it.

There was some Epic presence at the ATL concert.  It was great to see.  Someone was handing out flyers that had both the INXS and LH albums on the front and then a list of the tour dates on the back and all the appropriate websites listed.  They were really cool.  The album covers on the front were stickers.

Anyway the guy gave me one and I quickly turned around and said 'Can I have more?  I have friends in the Philippines'.   LOL - guess you know who I was thinking about, Mia.

Hi Jen,

That's great that Epic's handing out flyers for both LH and INXS.  You're so cute to think of me when that was happening.

I really can't wait to meet you in person.

Take care always!

Luv,
Mia

Hi y'all,

I was interviewed by 103.5 Klite FM last March 9, 2006.  1pm Manila Time.  I finally gave them an original copy of LH's new cd courtesy of dlh from Indiana.  The interview was 15 mins & 35 secs. long.  As usual, it was DJ Ron who was the dj again because he's my only contact at that radio stations and he's the most senior DJ too.  It was a pretty interesting interview.  You guys just have to listen when I'm able to put it up.  I don't know how to rip a cd open so I have to wait until that's done.  I have pictures to post of that interview as well.  I will do all the posting in due time.

Later...

Hey Mia - Can't wait to hear your interview

You'll learn how to "rip" a CD one of these days....
